Our thoughts and prayers are with you . I first met George when he joined the Yorkton lions Club .It was interesting to find a connection , as I had lived in Selkirk Mb . for many years , we learned that George also knew my mother and father Reg & Merle Blackman. George was a generous man and a heart to serve, a treasure to all who knew him . My heartfelt sympathies go out to Dolena, George,Trevor & Tracy , family and friends who will miss George. A life to be celebrated .

Wilene and I send our condolences on the passing of George. He was a terrific guy to work for and I always felt that he, Joe Wyspinsky and I were like the three Musketeers of the office. I really appreciated that he gave me a lot of leeway in how I got to help people who were stressed by things we could help them with if we were creative. I know George had a lot to do with my being allowed to serve around the world for the Red Cross. I always thought he was responsible for getting my name accepted for The Canada 125 Medal. You should be all very proud of George for making so many positive changes in people's lives.

Sincere sympathies to Dolena and family. George was my Supervisor in Selkirk for many years and I always appreciated that he was a good friend as well and a great Baptist just like me. So sorry for your loss.

Tom Seeley on Behalf of Habitat for Humanity posted a condolence
Tuesday, December 12, 2017
Shortly after his arrival, George felt strongly there should be a Habitat for Humanity presence in Yorkton. His enthusiasm was infectious, an he was instrumental in co-founding the Yorkton organization which has now built six homes, with a seventh to be completed in early 2018. George was totally dedicated to his community, and his selfless enthusiasm was an inspiration to us all. He will be sorely missed by not only the Habitat organization but by all of the many people he touched. Our thoughts and prayers are extended to George's family. The present and future Habitat homes and what they do for the Habitat families living within them will be lasting monuments to his memory.

My condolences to the Plews family. I had the pleasure of getting to know George when I worked for Habitat for Humanity Regina. George was such a passionate individual. The love of his community and the mission of Habitat for Humanity was so very strong. May he Rest In Peace.
