Deepest sympathies Carol, Warren & Sherry, Jason & Patti and families. I never knew Al well but I did know that when he was in the dealership the atmosphere became more charged and lively. Carol & Al's love for each other was very evident even as a bystander. Take heart that your memories will bring you comfort and your love will keep him close.

In 2007 I was lucky enough to have an interview with Warren & Carol to fill the upcoming position of book-keeper/controller of their long time family business. After the interview Warren said " I usually don't hire after one interview but my Mom likes you." That was the beginning of 5 years of employment and friendship with Carol, Al, Warren, Jason and their families right until we left for Nova Scotia in 2013. Since leaving Carol has kept in touch, and shared goings on their lives and sent pictures of the beautiful young grand-daughters. Al was a great person and Carol and him had an obvious special spark when ever I saw them together. Soon after starting my employment Carol gave my some advice about my boss Warren. (don't go on and on when you are telling him something) He likes the "readers digest version" so here it is now Al is gone and is just plain sucks....... Hugzzzzzz special delivery from me & John from way out here in Nova Scotia

To all of you, Thank-you. Thank-you from all of us who knew and loved Dad, and that is a long list. Thank-you for your posts on the Bailey's site and on Facebook, for your thoughts and prayers both spoken and unspoken, for your understanding as we grieve and come to terms with Dad's passing in our own way. We know so many of you feel the desire to connect and say your farewells and again I say thank-you. You are all good and kind people, that's why Dad knew and loved you all, that's why without a doubt I know you all have a fond memory of him, and I guarantee there is more than one you can recall, and I can say that with confidence because if one is good, two is better - right Dad? Please know that Mom reads each of your posts, and she reads them out loud so Dad can hear. These thoughts are from me, but I dare say are mirrored by many. Dad, I can't truly express how much love and admiration I have for you, the words don't exist so these will have to suffice. Pops, my heart is broken; but it's still a little bit good so with time and effort, like so many of your projects, it will be restored. You always wanted the best for me and did whatever you could to provide it, and you did a fabulous job. I want for nothing in this world other than to have you back. My amazing Mom is sitting here with me, I have a brother and sis second to none, and their wonderful daughters - my nieces - who are fantastic young women who I hold very dear in my heart, and I have a loving and beautiful wife, my dearest sweetheart. You and Mom were always there, no conditions, no judgement, just love and support - maybe a bit of advice delivered gently but whether I took it or not the love and support were unaltered. I've heard that sometimes you wished you'd been a better father, I don't really know how you could have accomplish that. You need to know that I'd change nothing, other than having you back now. You need have no regrets from this life. So again we say thank-you to all of you for the posts, the texts, the phone calls. Thank-you for those who stopped by, so many with wonderful meals, wonderful thoughts and wishes, a little bit of relief in the most difficult of times. We love and appreciate all of you. We held a quiet and private service on Sunday, October 22nd; it was Mom and Dad's 51st wedding anniversary. In a few days we will hopefully have an audio recording of the service available, if you wish to receive a link to the service please email remembering_al@jptod.ca and, once available, I will send you a private link.
