Obituary of Peter Uchacz

Peter Uchacz was born to Steve and Helen (nee Halashewski) Uchacz on July 6, 1943 at the farm. He attended Beresford School and completed his education at the Kelliher High School. Peter was employed at Gartner's Bakery in Balcarres where he met his wife Jane Wright. Later he worked for Wappel Construction in Regina for a few years. In 1971 Peter purchased the family farm from his parents where Peter and Jane settled. They operated a mixed farming operation and were blessed and raised their four children. In 2001 Peter and Jane purchased a home in Ituna retiring from farming. "Peter downsized his acres and started gardening" he also enjoyed woodworking. Peter enjoyed country music, fishing, playing cards and visiting. The last few years he enjoyed karoke. Peter entered his eternal rest on Friday, September 29, 2017 at the All Nations Healing Hospital in Fort Qu'Appelle at the age of 74 years. Predeceased by his parents, Steve and Helen; brothers, Raymond in infancy, Harry and Don; sister-in-law, Olga Uchacz. Peter leaves to cherish his memory his wife Jane of Ituna, SK; son, Ted (Tina) Uchacz grandsons, Zachary and Zander of Saskatoon, SK: son, Michael Uchacz (Julie Beaulieu) granddaughters, Mary-Anne, Sarah and Emily of Strathmore, AB: son Rick Uchacz (Kim Danyluk) grandsons, Kaden and Kai of deWinton, AB: daughter, Leona (Jamie) Gibbs of Turner Valley, AB; his brothers, Alec of Ituna, Leo of Woodstock, ON; Larry (Eleanor) of Guernsey, SK; and sisters-in-law, Shirley Uchacz of Ingersoll, ON and Christine Uchacz of Woodstock, ON; Dianne and Gary Kayter of Dysart, SK; numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends; and last but not least three granddogs, Gizmo, Ace and Bentley.
