Obituary of Margaret Eva Pinkerton

Margaret Pinkerton of Invermay, partner of Walter Husarewich, passed away on Wednesday, September 27th at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre at the age of 73 years. Margaret Eva Pinkerton was born December 20, 1943 in Wadena, Saskatchewan a daughter to Chester and Eva (nee Pinder) Hermanson. Margaret grew up in the Invermay district of Saskatchewan and attended Mason School close to the family homestead. After leaving home at Invermay, she moved to Swan River, Manitoba and later to Ninette, Manitoba. In Ninette she worked at the sanitorium Hospital where she met Lloyd Pinkerton. Margaret and Lloyd got married and settled down in Wawanesa, Manitoba where they raised two boys, Melvin and Kennie. They also had a daughter Myrna Jean, between the two boys that had passed away shortly after birth. In Wawanesa Margaret worked at the hospital, drove school bus and helped her husband with custodial duties at the elementary school. Margaret also went and took a course to become a hairdresser. She later opened up her own hairdressing shop in the house they lived and called home in Wawanesa. Later on after the boys had all left home, Margaret and Lloyd followed them to Winnipeg where they lived and experienced the joy of three grandchildren, Ashley, James and Daryl Pinkerton, a great grandson, Koen McFarland and as well her step grandchildren. In her spare time Margaret loved to sew as well as cross stitch. She enjoyed being outside whether it was gardening or going for drives in the country. Margaret especially enjoyed visiting with others. After the passing of her late husband Lloyd, Margaret moved back to where she referred as to "being home" in Invermay, Saskatchewan and lived her remaining life with Walter Husarewich on his farm. The funeral service was held on Saturday, Sept.30th 2017 from the Invermay Community Hall in Invermay with Crystal Bailey, B.Th officiating. A tribute to Margaret was given by Sylvia Pasloski, the musical selection was 'One More Day'. The urnbearers were Margaret's sons Melvin & Kenneth. A memorial luncheon followed the service.
