Obituary of Ralph Joseph Brazeau

Ralph Joseph Brazeau was born on January 23, 1942 at Saltcoats, Sask. He passed away peacefully at the age of 75 on August 19, 2017. He was the son of Louis Brazeau and Clarice Azure. He attended school at Crescent Lake and furthered his education in Moose Jaw to become a welder. Throughout his years he was employed as a welder, drywaller, roofer and stuccoer and various other construction jobs. He was united in marriage to Eleanor (nee Rosselle) Brazeau and resided in Calgary, Alta. They were blessed with 5 boys. Sadly the relationship ended and Ralph moved to Sask. He purchased a home in Togo and lived there many years, where he met Sandra Lerat who was part of his life till he moved to Saskatoon. Then Ralph moved to Springside where he raised horses which he loved. He lived at Crescent Lake for a short time as well then moved to Melville. He resided there until May of this year, when his health failed, he moved closer to his daughter Rachel for his final few months at the Extended Care Nursing Home in Saskatoon, where he passed away. Ralph will be remembered for his charming personality, jokes, and entertainment in singing and playing guitar and fiddle with the company of family and friends. One of the stories his sister Dorothy told was, Dorothy said they went out hunting rabbits and it took her so long to shoot, finally Ralph said "Do you want me to go and kick it". There were many such like stories. Dorothy and Ralph were very close throughout their life. He was always willing to share what he had, no matter how much or little he had, just recently having a visitor at his residence at the nursing home and offering half of his sandwich to him. That's how Ralph was. In the spring of 2011 Ralph had a serious heart attack, with prayer he pulled through and later received Jesus Christ as his Saviour. He was granted 6 more years which we were very blessed to have him a little longer. Ralph was predeceased by his parents, Louis Brazeau and Clarice Azure; his children Jeff, Darcy, Mark and Jody; Grandchild Kelsey; his sisters Bertha, Dora, Lillian, Noella, Mary, Lena, and Beatrice; his brothers Frank, Leo, Stanley and Joe; his nieces and nephews.
