Obituary of Lillian May Hryniuk

Our Beloved Mom and Baba Lillian was born on September 29, 1925 in the Mikado district to Anne (Schur) and Jacob Greba, she was the middle child of twelve children. After attending Wisnia School in the country, furthering her education in Winnipeg Manitoba, Lillian returned home to help with family responsibilities. It was during this time she met Tony Hryniuk and on January 10, 1949, they were united in marriage. Lynn Lake Manitoba became their home for the next 10 years where they started their family, later settling in Yorkton. Lillian's legacy in life is her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They remember her for her love of life, her optimism and her ability to find good in every soul. She leaves her family with many cherished memories and examples of her humour, kind and giving nature, and her appreciation for anything that any one of her family or others did for her. She would thank them from the "bottom of her heart" and sometimes a "million times" even when she was suffering a great amount of pain during her recent challenges with her health. Her humble nature is something her children and grandchildren have strived to accomplish and attain and this is something they have strong memories of. As long as everyone else had, she did not need, she always felt rich with those accomplishments. Lillian enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking for family and all special occasions. She also enjoyed reading from newspapers to novels - one of her favourite saying was "this should be published". She cherished her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They all have special moments they shared and many loving memories. Predeceased by her husband Tony Hryniuk in 1991; parents Anne and Jacob Greba; 5 brothers and 3 sisters; 4 sister-in laws; 1 brother in law, Lillian leaves to cherish her memory, her children; Pearl (Barend) Blommaert, Bill (Gayle) Hryniuk, Tony (Carol) Hryniuk, 8 grandchildren; Carol Leslie, Melodee (Malcolm) Chlan, Cohen Blommaert, Dylan Blommaert (Sara), David Hryniuk, Chad Hryniuk (Mayah), Joel Hryniuk (Ashley), Jade Hryniuk, 3 great grandchildren; Hunter Leslie, Spencer Renfrow, Emery Renfrow, along with Brothers; Sam Greba, Frank (Carol) Greba; Sister Elizabeth Greba and numerous nieces and nephews.
