Obituary of Harold Ernest Bilous

Harold Ernest Bilous, beloved husband of Eleanor Bilous, was born in the Moyhela District of Saskatchewan on August 9, 1940 to parents Steve and Katie, the sixth of seven children. Harold and Eleanor were married on July 17, 1959 and recently celebrated their 63rd Wedding Anniversary. They were blessed with four children, Duane, Colleen, Stacy and Steven, two grandchildren, Tanner and Jayden and two great grandchildren, Harley and Ryder. Family was very important to Harold, and he always valued and looked forward to spending time with them. When the children were growing up, Harold enjoyed taking his family camping and fishing, and on many summer vacations. In his spare time, he liked to golf and would never miss a Rider game. Harold was very well-known, respected by all who knew him, and always took the time to stop and talk to people. It was hard for him to go anywhere without running into someone who didn't know him. Harold worked at York Auto Supply in Yorkton for over 50 years, where he made many friendships. He was very hardworking, dedicated and took pride in his work. Harold was a kind and gentle man who will be deeply missed by all, especially his family and friends. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Eleanor, his children Duane Bilous (Colleen), Colleen Nickel (Gord), Stacy Bilous (Cristal), and Steven Bilous (Belinda), his grandchildren Tanner (Rejeanne) and Jayden, his great grandchildren Harley and Ryder, his brother Raymond Bilous, his sisters Jenny Greenstein and Mary Yaremko, his brothers-in-law Mervin Schwartz and George Hulinsky (Joyce) and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents Steve and Katie Bilous, his in-laws Nick and Ruth Hulinsky, his sister Ann Crosby and her husband Archie, his sister Elsie Lange and her husband Bob, his sister Helen Schwartz, his sisters-in-law Sylvia Bilous and Marie Kedlorchuck and his brothers-in-law Russell Yaremko and Meldrum Greenstein. The funeral service was held on Friday, August 26th 2022 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Rev. Jen Dresser officiating. The interment took place in the Garden of Memories with Tanner Heeg and Jayden Bilous as urnbearers. Service Details.
