Obituary of Victoria Agnes Kobialko

Victoria passed away on March 27th, 2017 in Regina at the General Hospital with both her daughters by her side. Victoria Agnes Kobialko was born to Steve and Anne Prayda (Huniak) on September 16, 1925. Received her education at Olga School south west of Ituna and later at the Red Brick School in Ituna. As a young woman she worked at a Private Nursing Home in Winnipeg and later at the Barry Hotel in Saskatoon. During the summer months she would work at the Waskesiu Resort. Victoria was united in marriage to Frank Kobialko on November 15, 1950. They both lived and raised their family on the Kobialko homestead northwest of Ituna in the Lunville district. Both had worked very hard to make a living on the farm. In 1968 due to Frank's failing health they decided to move into Ituna. Vicky as many would call her enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, sewing quilts, playing cards, and not to forget Bingo. Spending time with her grandchildren and their families was something she truly enjoyed. Her grandchildren were always amazed at her wood chopping skills; she would put them all to shame. Her hot toddies were very effective, curing almost anything that ailed you. She lived a full, hard life with the loss of 3 sons and a husband. Predeceased by her parents Steve and Anne, husband Frank in 1974, sons Donald in 1967, Charlie in 1993, David in 1960, son in law Terry Dmyterko in 2012, brother Stanley in 2016, sisters Mary Federko in 1958, Sophie Kaczmar in 2016. In March 2015 due to failing health she became a resident of Ituna Pioneer Lodge. Lovingly remembered by her daughter Fran Dmyterko of Dunleath, and her children Jason (Cindy) children Macey and Aiden of Ebenezer, Dale (Tara) and son Eric of Saskatoon. Daughter Sylvia (Larry) Tymiak of Jasmin, sons Micheal (Yorkton) Steven (Edmonton). Daughter in law Delores Kobialko (Morris) of Ituna, her children Leonard (Amy) Kobialko of Calgary, Shelley (Elliot) Mazden and daughters Charli and Ella of Regina. The Funeral Mass was held on Monday, April 3, 2017 at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Ituna with Rev. Fr. Albert Schmitz and Rev. Fr. Peter Pidskalny, CSs.R. as concelebrants. The cross bearers were Larry Tymiak and Eric Dmyterko. The readers were Cara Renkas and Tara Dmyterko. The gift bearers were Sylvia Tymiak and Fran Dmyterko. The interment followed in the Ituna R. C. Cemetery with Jason Dmyterko, Dale Dmyterko, Leonard Kobialko, Shelley Mazden, Micheal Tymiak and Steven Tymiak serving as the casket bearers.
