Obituary of Ernest John "E.J." Uhll

Ernest "Ernie" Uhll of St. Paul Lutheran Home, Melville, beloved husband of Patricia Ann Uhll entered his eternal rest on Friday, March 17, 2017 at St. Paul Lutheran Home. He was 89 years of age. Ernest known as E.J. was born on June 25, 1927 at Birmingham, Saskatchewan, a son to Adolf and Margaret (nee Rathgeber) Uhll. E.J. received his education at the Birmingham School. On June 4, 1952 E.J. was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Davis at Elim Chapel in Melville and were blessed with a son Duane. E.J. was a jack of all trades all ways in his shop working on something or doing the thing he liked best "welding". His dream was to build and operate a motel, which became a reality in the early sixties. The second dream was to turn the motel into a Care Home but this did not happen until the business was sold. During the time operating the motel he built 40 gravel conveyors which he sold all across Canada. E.J. was a member of good standing of the Bethany Evangelical Missionary Church. His only hobby was his work. His family meant the world to him; Patricia will really miss his serenading after the evening meal. Predeceased by his parents and siblings. E.J. leaves to cherish his memory his beloved wife Patricia Ann Uhll of Melville, SK.; his son Duane Ernest Uhll (Taz) of St. Paul Lutheran Home Melville, SK. Duane has always been such a Blessing and comfort, especially at this time. EJ also leave to mourn his brothers, Harry I. (Vivian B.) Uhll of Melville, SK. and Clarence A. Uhll of Kimberly, BC; his sister, Alvina Hemrick of Vancouver, BC; as well as numerous nieces and nephews that meant the world to E.J. Lifes race well run, Life's work well done, Life's crown well won, Now comes perfect rest. At this time the family wish to thank all family, friends and neighbours for their expression of sympathy, through hugs, visits, prayers, cards, phone calls and food. Thank you to the St. Paul Lutheran Home for the loving care and compassion given to E.J. and still giving to our son Taz, who is a resident there. Thanks to Chaplain Phil, Doctors. Special thanks to Violet R. and everyone at N&R Concrete coffee gang, Don at Bailey's Funeral Home and anyone we have inadvertently missed. Thank you again and may God bless each one of you.
