Dear Killick family and especially Elma, it is with heartfelt sorrow that I extend my sympathy to you at the loss of your cherished and beloved Del. We never met but my extended family is and will always be cherished. I know my Mum wrote to you often. Sadly another leaf has fallen from the Killick family tree. When I look up in the night sky I will know in my heart that he is looking down on you all. In peace, love and light. Denise from Ottawa, ON

Dear Elma, Keiran and Rachel, I was surprised and saddened to hear about Del's passage to the Better Place upon which his Faith was based. Even though this is a journey we all will take , it is never easy for those left behind. Too often there are so many things unsaid and that is true with me. Sadly, my friendship with Del was put to the biggest test and we lost the opportunity for more good times and conversations. Like you, I have so many memories of the times I spent with the Killick Family and the friendship we had and the Hospitality I was the recipient of will never be forgotten. A true test of compatability is working on repairing broken down machinery at seeding, haying or harvest times. A similar test was trimming hooves on his beloved donkeys. Seldom did we meet that jokes were not shared and I am sure that Del is caused to smile at the recollection of some that we shared. It is an understatement that Del was proud of you as his wife, Elma and equally sobwith Rachel and you, Keiran, and the unequalled Grabdchildren he was so proud to be called Grandfather, and other endearing names as a result. I know , understandably, not as much or in the same way as you, but I will miss him as a very good friend, employer and confidante. My sincerest condolences to all of you. So many Hymns seem appropriate at a time like this as does "Keep on Smiling, Til We Meet Again" As with you, I know that I can do that when I reflect on the many good times I had with Del and all of you. God Bless You and Give You His Peace

Sorry to hear of the passing of this good man. His life made such a positive impact for his family, his Church and those that knew him. I went to school with Del for many years and I know Del would agree when I say "Thanks to those great Nuns who kept us in control. Del loved his family and his Faith. What a legacy to leave. Our thoughts and prayers are with Elma and the families. Linus & Ellen Westberg Red Deer Alberta
