Obituary of Margaret Karolina Wenet

Margaret Wenet was born on November 11, 1944 in Langenburg, Saskatchewan. She was the fourth of five children born to Josef and Mathilda (nee Schmidt) Gerlach. In 1956 her family moved to Melville, Saskatchewan. On November 24, 1962 Margaret was united in marriage to Joseph Wenet of Melville, Saskatchewan. The couple resided in the Walden area where they farmed and were blessed with 7 children (3 boys and 4 girls). In 1969 they moved into Melville where Margaret worked at various jobs. Her most memorable job was working in the Prince William Kitchen. She took great pride in making her salads and was very passionate about her job. Margaret passion was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing cards, visiting, family get togethers, cooking family meals, was famous for her cabbage rolls. Margaret loved nature, being outdoors, fishing and sitting around the fire pit on a summers evening. She also loved spending time with her sister Dorothy baking and having coffee. Margaret entered her eternal rest with her family at her side on Monday, January 9, 2017 at St. Peter's Hospital at the age of 72 years. Margaret now joins in heaven her parents, Josef and Mathilda, her husband Joseph, 3 brothers, Edgar, Gordon and Archie. She leaves to cherish her memory her 7 children, son, Don (Rhonda) Wenet, their children, Meagan (Shane) Statchuk, Riley Wenet (Brooklyn Conquergood): daughter, Joanne (Ken Maduk), her children, Ashley Melanson (Calem) and Kyle Melanson and 8 step grandchildren) 11 step great grandchildren: son, Kelly (Sherry) their son, Matt Wenet (RaeAnne) and 3 step grandchildren and 4 step great grandchildren: son, Dennis Wenet (Linda), their children, Amanda, Alicia and Ryan: daughter, Donna Lee Pacholko ( Tony ), her children, Alanna (Jorden), Nykole and her son, Jaxon, Colby (Shannell) and their son, Slater: daughter, Correen Kirschman (Kelvin), their children, Travis (Chelsey), Brian (Melissa) and their son, Koden and Colin: daughter, Tracy Wenet, her children, Cole (Jenna) and Chalsey (Kevin); sister, Dorothy (Ken); as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
