Obituary of Timothy "Tim" Allen Byczynski

BYCZYNSKI – Tim Byczynski beloved husband of Beverly Byczynski passed away in his home in Bredenbury on August 10, 2022. He was 61 years of age. Timothy was married to Beverly (Freeman) and was a loving father to Kirk, Clark, Scott, and Adam. Tim was born on September 12, 1960, at the Moosomin Hospital. He was the second child of three children born to Charles and Maxine Byczynski. Tim attended school at Bredenbury School and then Highschool at the Yorkton Regional. Tim met many lifelong friends throughout his many and various jobs. He liked to call them “His second family.” He began his career as a surveyor for Torchinsky Consulting. He then moved to Quesnel B.C, with Garry and Marie Metzler. He worked as a laborer at Quesnel Forest Products in B.C. Tim worked for a short period in B.C and then returned home. He then started at the mine at the age of 20. Tim spent most of career at Mosaic Mine in Esterhazy, where he worked various positions. Most of his later career was spent as a lab tech doing potash samples for various grades of potash. Tim met Bev at a Winterfest in Bredenbury where he had been coaching a girls hockey team. They met once again six months later at Octoberfest, where he became her dance partner. They married August 2, 1985. There oldest son Kirk was born in 1988, followed by Clark in 1990, followed by Scott born in 1993, followed by Adam born in 1997. They decided that after four tries for a girl, they were done! Scott married Raquel in 2019, and together they have a daughter named Josie. Tim welcomed the girls to the family. Tim enjoyed being outdoors. He loved the lake, where they had a cabin at Burgis Beach for many years. Tim loved hockey and slow pitch. Tim played his minor hockey in Bredenbury, and then later played defense on the Cougar Hockey Team. He also loved golfing and fishing as pastimes. He was a tough opponent in the game trivial pursuit. Tim always enjoyed TV, movies, and music. He later became an avid sports fan, following his son’s hockey, baseball, and lacrosse games. Tim was committed to his community and was involved as a Town council member, and a member of the Bredenbury Fire Department Tim was a loyal, honorable, and caring man. He showed this by being a loving husband, father, grandfather, and a loyal partner and good brother, uncle, and friend. Despite the hardships he endured, he loved life and found humor in many things. Tim gave us one final message, “Remember me with laughter, not tears.” Tim was predeceased by his father, Charles, his mother, Maxine; mother and father in law, Theresa and Albert Freeman; and his brother Stephan. Tim leaves to mourn his passing and to celebrate his life, his loving wife, Beverly, sons, Kirk, Clark, Scott (wife, Raquel and their daughter Josie), and Adam; brother, Michael (Sheryl) and their children Austin, Madisson and Kathleen (Anthony) and their daughter Beatrix; Tim’s sister in law Marlene and her family, Stacy and Chad (Brianne) and their children Brooks and Demi; brother in law Lloyd (Riona) Freeman. A Family Graveside Memorial Service was held on Monday August 15, 2022 in the Bredenbury Town Cemetery with Sarah Giles of the United Church of Canada officiating. Tim’s beloved, Bev served as the urnbearer. Honourary Bearers where all who shared in Tim’s life. Memorial donations may be made to the Bredenbury Rink, to the Bredenbury Daycare C/O of the Town of Bredenbury or to the charity of one’s choice as gifts of remembrance.
