Obituary of Tyler Dobko
DOBKO - Tyler Patrick Dobko, beloved son of Patrick and Michelle Dobko (nee Dunlop) passed away suddenly and tragically on Saturday, September 24, 2016. He was 29 years of age. Tyler was born at the Yorkton Union Hospital on May 20, 1987. Tyler was fortunate to have two older sisters, Kari Ann and Tara Lea, who very eagerly helped Mom & Dad look after this young bundle of energy. Tyler received his K-7 education at St. Mary's School and his 8-12 at Sacred Heart High School in Yorkton. Tyler was an active member of the Yorkton Zion 8th Scouts. Scouts was where he got involved in outdoor survival, camping, rocketry and many other activities. During his Scouting he attended the 10th Canadian Scout Jamboree in PEI in 2001. As a result of his commitment to the promotion of Canada and Canadian values, he was awarded the Canada Day Youth Award in 2001.Fishing, public speaking, skate boarding, skiing, snowmobiling, quading, biking and spending time with his family rounded out Tyler's spare time. His dexterity and hand-eye coordination was evident at an early age. He would take thing apart and rebuild them; play games and handle all mechanical devices with unbelievable skill. These skills lead to Tyler tinkering and fixing everything he could get his hands on. Although he had many different jobs throughout his short life, Tyler's abilities and skills always brought him back home to work with his Dad. He polished the skills he needed in carpentry and flooring, which he loved doing. Tyler was a very loving, caring and compassionate soul. He was more than what people saw on the outside. He really truly cared about what you thought and how you felt. Tyler went out of his way to help family, friends and also people whom he never even met. He always knew what to say in any situation, and he had a way of knowing when he was needed. Since he has been gone many people have come forward to let us know how truly special he was to them, and that he has helped them in more ways than they can describe. This is a true affirmation of his character, and it makes his family so very proud to have had him as part of our lives, even though it was way too short of a time. Tyler is predeceased by his Baba Christine Dobko, Maternal & Paternal Great Grandparents. He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish his memory; loving parents Patrick & Michelle Dobko, his two sisters, Kari (Cortney) Matkowski and their children, Tristen, Mason & Kaydence; Tara (Darren) Colby and their daughter Braeya.
