Obituary of Evelyn Hynds

HYNDS - Evelyn Grace Hynds of Ituna passed away on September 19, 2016 at the Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre. She was 76 years of age.Evelyn was born on the family farm in the Ituna district, daughter to John and Elizabeth Hynds. She attended Beaverside School and upon leaving home she worked at various hospitals and nursing homes. Evelyn loved her garden. She enjoyed baking, canning the fruits of her garden and was very talented in crocheting. She was predeceased by her beloved partner Isaac (Ike) Martin in April, 2016; her father and mother John and Elizabeth Hynds, step grandson, Cody Paradis, infant sister Mary Jane and brothers Jack, Jim and Brian. Evelyn leaves to cherish her memory her son Brian (Michelle), granddaughter Jaimie, step granddaughter Lindsey, great step grandchildren Asher and Neelie, sisters Sadie Dyck, Betty Kammer, Rita Bridal, Martha (Joe) Hilliar, Kathy Knowles and brother Sam (Sandra) Hynds, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Evelyn's dear friends Bill and Bernie Bereziuk, Susan and Jerry Duda and Michelle Goode for all of their help and support during this difficult time. The Funeral Service was held on Monday, September 26th, 2016 at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church in Ituna with Rev. Brian Mee of Lakeside United Church officiating. The organist, Paulette van der Helm accompanied song leader, Len Varga in the singing of the hymns, "In The Garden", "Amazing Grace" and "How Great Thou Art". The ushers were Alice Rushinko and Bill Bereziuk. Donna Court shared the eulogy. The interment followed in the Ituna Town Cemetery with Terry Shewchuk, John Hilliar, Jake Knowles, Susan Duda, Bernie Bereziuk and Brett Bereziuk serving as the casket bearers. Memorials may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society as gifts or remembrance.
