The first time I met terry he scared me he stopped me with the police car as I was teaching wasn't sure what I did wrong. I didn't he was looking for another instructer he was to do an in class for her. After that one day my mom and u were at timmies he came in sat beside my mom ( she was quite old ) she said something to him and he said he knew and she asked him how and he said I'm a police man boy did we all laugh and after that when he worked at home hardware I would go looking for him to help me. I would always call him mr police man. I truly will miss him he was alway a great guy to talk to he always had the time. Sorry for your loss

I was very sad to hear of Terry's passing. I knew Terry when I worked at GX94 radio and he would come into the station to do interviews and to do Public Service announcements. He was a funny and engaging person and I liked him immediately. I later was honored to get to know him even better when I served as an Auxiliary Constable with the Yorkton Municipal RCMP. He was instrumental in getting me into policing. I learned a lot from him and I regret I was never able to reconnect with him after I joined the Calgary Police Service.

Terry was from Cranbrook and I was from Kimberley (rival communities). After we both joined the RCMP and were stationed in Saskatchewan we would quite often find ourselves attending the same course and/or function, talking about the Cranbrook/Kimberley rivalry and laughing ourselves silly over a few "pops". Terry always took the time to visit and had a heart as big as he was. My condolences go out to the STEVELY family at this time. Terry will be missed.
