Obituary of Bernice Fuchs

Life Story of Bernice and Alfred Fuchs Alfred and Bernice were united in marriage on January 9, 1961. The couple resided in Regina until 1964, then decided to move back to Grayson and were blessed with two children who they leave to cherish their memory, daughter Roxanne Fuchs (Joe Caron) and his sons Kyle and Kelsey; son Jody (Denise) Fuchs and their daughter Madison who for the past eight years was Grandma & Grandpa's Absolute Greatest Joy! Auntie B Bernice was born on May 19, 1942, daughter of E. Joe and Mary (Dean) Gelowitz and step-daughter to Martha Gelowitz. Her mother died when she was two years of age. Bernice attended Grayson School and Sacred Heart Academy where she also took piano lessons. After grade 12, she worked at Hatton's Music Store in Regina when she returned to Grayson, she worked at Pari's Solo Store. Years later she taught piano and organ lessons in her home and helped Alfred clean the school and post office. She was once a leader of the curling rink, skating rink and ladies group. Bernice enjoyed socializing with family and friends, baking, gardening growing flowers, teaching music, playing scrabble, swimming, fishing and lake life. Her time with Madison was by far the most precious. Madison was Grandma's "Little Shnookie" and they were the Best of Friends. Bernice joins in eternal peace her father Emil Joseph Gelowitz, her mother Mary and sisters Cecilia and Eleanor. Bernice is survived by her step-mother Martha her sisters Hilda, Josephine, Maryanne (Larry) Hubred, Brenda (Bryce) Simes, Chrisandra (Wayne) Nohlgren, Jane (Bryon) Haas and by brother Gerard (Joann) and brother-in-law Bill Siroishka along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
