Obituary of Adolph Sliwa
Adolph was born to Maryon and Tekla Sliwa on November 22, 1918 in Rama SK. He lived on the farm north of Rama and attended Lone Spruce school. He was a member of the Dobrowody St. Peter & Paul Roman Catholic Church and once living in Yorkton, a member of St. Gerard Roman Catholic Church. Adolph was a member of the Knights of Columbus, sang in church choirs and provided pump organ accompaniment. Adolph enjoyed farming, with brother Walter, and adding to their acreage by buying land near Dernik SK. In 1967, Adolph was united in marriage to Jean Terletski at Rama and a short time after they moved to Yorkton. Adolph continued farming and during the winter months worked at Morris Rod Weeder or at the Yorkton Union Hospital. He farmed until about 2002. Adolph was pre-deceased by his wife Jean, parents Maryon and Tekla, brother Walter, brother Louis (Ursula & Gerard), Sister Geraldine OSB. He is survived and leaves to celebrate his life, wife Jean's family, sister Stella Fulawka and her family, brother Peter (Violet) and their family. Adolph's family would like to thank the following for the care and attention generously given: Stella Fulawka who looked after him for 8-years, Dr. A. VanHeerden who was his superb doctor, the staff of the North Wing of the Nursing Home, the staff of Aspen Bluffs, the Sunrise Health Region. Service Information
