Obituary of Elmer Martin Feszczyn

FESZCZYN - Elmer passed away on Thursday, July 7th, 2016 at the family farm. He was 62 years, 5 months, 5 days of age Elmer Feszczyn was born at Lestock, Saskatchewan on February 2, 1954. A son of Steve and Noreen (nee Komodowski) Feszczyn. Elmer grew up on the family farm in the Kelliher district. In March of 1977 he met Debbie Somerville. He was united in marriage to Debbie on August 7th, 1982 at Westview United Church in Yorkton, Saskatchewan. Elmer and Debbie build a yard on their farm near Kelliher where they raised three sons. At the time of Elmer's passing he was a full time bus driver for Horizon School Division - Foam Lake since 2003 and working at the Kelliher golf course. He also did other various jobs as previous bus driver for Hertz Bus Ltd. - Kelliher School, Milligan Bio Tech - Foam Lake, Foam Lake Co-op, Kelliher Skating Rink, Leross Auction Mart and for farmers in the area. He also kept busy in the earlier years with his sons in the activities that they were in (4-H, hockey, soccer, etc.). He enjoyed spending time with his family going to the lake sides, concerts, and trips. Some of his pleasure activities were toy collecting, quading, hunting and listening to country and gospel music. His smile and friendly nature has touched so many lives which will be remembered forever more. Predeceased by brother Darrell Feszczyn in June, 2002; father & mother-in-law, Lawrence (March 1977) & Bernice Somerville (March 2003); and his grandparents, William & Lena Feszczyn. Elmer will be cherished and sadly missed by his wife Debbie of 33 years and granddaughter Kylee; three sons: Jeffrey (daughter Kylee, friend Doray); Mark; Shane; parents (Steve and Noreen), sister: Denise Hardman (daughter Carol - husband Taylor and son Hudson), (son Craig) ; brothers Larry (wife Darlene, daughter Cheryl (friend Ryan), son Jason (friend Kristy); Barry (friend Kathy) (son Daniel, daughter Laura (husband Taylor, daughter Lily, son Cruz); brother-in-law, Raymond (wife Karen , daughters Kristen and Lauren) Somerville; sister-in-law Janice (husband Andy); numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. The funeral service was held on Wednesday, July 13th 2016 from St. Margaret Mary RC Church in Kelliher with Rev. Brian Mee of the United Church of Canada officiating. Soloist, Leonard Varga sang 'Christ be Our Light', and 'Blest Are They'. The interment followed in the Kelliher Memorial Gardens with Terry Haynes, Eldon Godlien, Tom Leader, Bill Feszczyn, Ernie Kokoski and Kenny Koback serving as the casketbearers.
