Peter was born at MacNutt, SK on January 26, 1928 to Reifta and Joseph Butz. Peter was raised with his five siblings on the family farm and attended Zorra School. He left school at the age of 15 and ventured out on his own in search of employment. Peter went to Hamilton Ontario and worked in a lock factory for several months before he returned to Saskatchewan. Peter and Olga moved to Winnipeg, and there they worked and established a home for themselves. They were blessed with three daughters Diane, Debbie and Kim. Peter spent 27 years working in the industrial construction trade before he decided to follow his heart and leave the city. Peter and Olga purchased Valleyview store at Lake of the Prairies MB and they spent the next 18 years serving the community. They retired in 1999 and moved to Ebenezer.
