Obituary of Peter Budz

BUDZ - On March 1st 2016 the world lost a great man. We sadly announce the passing of Peter Budz formally of Canora Saskatchewan and Snow Lake Manitoba. Peter passed away at the Norquay Health Centre. Peter Budz was 94 years of age and a WWII veteran. He served overseas with the Lake Superior Regiment and was wounded during the Liberation of Holland in April 1945. Peter is survived by brothers Mike and Johnny (Darlene); sister Pauline Kowalyk and sister-in-law Cassie Budz. He was predeceased in death by his parents John and Annie Budz, brothers Victor, Fred, Nick and Billy; sisters Mary Sabin and Kay Mathieson. He will be sadly missed by his two sons. Dennis (Glenda) Budz and Donald (Penny) Budz. His two grandsons Kyle and Ian were dear to him and he was proud of their accomplishments. Recently a great grandson Keoni, son of Ian and Jo Budz arrived and the child gave Peter great joy. Peter will be greatly missed by our mother Vivian who was the love of his life. Peter is survived by many cousins, nieces and nephews who affectionately called him "Uncle Pete". At Peter's request no funeral will be held at this time. A private burial will take place in Rose Valley Saskatchewan at a later date.
