Obituary of Danita Louise "Dano" Jones

Danita Louise Trueman, also known as (Dano) was born June 6th 1956, in Prince Albert Saskatchewan to George and Peggy Trueman. In 1970, the family moved to Duck Lake Saskatchewan, where Danita graduated in 1974, from Stobart High School. Danita is survived by Tony Ostafie (Husband) Her three step children, Michael Ostafie (Kari Mahingen) Lianne Ostafie (Matthew Auten) Ashley Ostafie (Kyle Marteniuk), and her 5 Grandchildren, Ashlee, Ayden, Brayden, Charlie, and Tessa. Danita is also survived by three sisters, Bonnie (Bruce) Lucas, Vikie (Omer) Nicolas, and Carolyn (Terry) Trueman, and her 3 brothers, Patrick Trueman, Bill Trueman, and Tim (Cindy) Trueman. Danita will be fondly remembered by several nieces and nephews, and was affectionately known to them as "Auntie Dandy" Her nieces and nephews held a very special place in her heart, and she will be greatly missed by them all. Danita was predeceased by her parents, George and Peggy Trueman, her sister, Linda Trueman, and her sister-in-law, Cheryl (Bill) Trueman. Danita was also predeceased by two great-nephews, Tadd and Mason Trueman. Danita did a lot of traveling in her lifetime, working in London England, Medicine Hat Alberta, Duck Lake SK, and finally settling into Yorkton Sk. Danita always lived life to its fullest, especially in the places that she worked. She was known to run a tight ship, and to have fun doing it. She was really proud to work for the Prince Albert Group Home Society, for many years. She also took a lot of pride in the ownership of the Duck Lake Billiards. She was known as a second mom to many of the kids who came in there. She was also well known for her wit and great sense of humor. Danita's true life's passion was taking care of her family and close friends. She has touched many lives and will be forever missed by all.
