Obituary of Willem Vanderraad

VANDERRAAD - Willem Vanderraad, beloved husband of Carolyn of Ituna, passed away suddenly on Monday, September 14, 2015. He was 66 years of age. Born on September 16, 1948 in Holland, Bill emigrated to Canada with his parents at a young age. The family settled in British Columbia where Bill received his education. As a young man he began work, eventually earning his trade as a steam engineer. Bill married Denise Marshall and the couple had three children, Jerald, Sara & Margaret. Bill worked in British Columbia for most of his career, but the family also lived in Alberta for several years. On April 25th, 1993 he was united in marriage to Carolyn Horn. The couple resided in BC until retiring to Saskatchewan, settling in Ituna about eight years ago. Predeceased by his parents, Bill is survived by his wife Carolyn of Ituna; son Jerald; daughters Sara and Margaret; brothers John, Martin & Peter; and by a sister Elizabeth, and their families. The cremation has taken place at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Crematorium, the interment of Bill's ashes will take place at a later date. The cremation care has been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home.
