Obituary of Karen Sanderman

Karen Sue Sanderman (nee Ballendine) age 62 died after a short but courageous battle with cancer on August 6th, 2015 at St. Peter's Hospital in Melville. Karen was born July 8th, 1953 in Saskatoon, the eldest of eight children. On August 10th, 1972 Karen married Doug Sanderman. The marriage ended in divorce, but together Karen and Doug had three daughters. Karen was employed at the University Hospital in Saskatoon. She raised her daughters, two nephews and a niece in Saskatoon before she retired to her little slice of heaven in Ituna. Karen leaves to mourn, her Mom Edna, her daughters: Giselle Sanderman, Lisa Sanderman, & Pamela Sanderman; her niece Amanda Butz; her nephews, Kelly Butz and Ron Butz; Granddaughters Jordan (Aaron) Semchyshen Sanderman, Zoe Sanderman, Tuesday Sanderman, Taylor Sanderman and Grandson Zayden Sanderman and Great Grandson Sam Semchyshen Sanderman. Also four sisters: Debra (Joe) Benson, Julie (Stan) Zacharias, Cheryl (Gary) Hinz, Brenda (William) Jones Butz; and her brother Steve (Corinne) Butz; as well as numerous nieces and nephews and best friend Heather Stewart. Karen was predeceased by her Dad Henry, brothers Brian and Rodney, and most recently her card playing, cousin and friend Sandra Lanovaz.
