Obituary of Linda Gail Richards

Richards - Linda Richards, beloved wife of Dan Richards of Springside passed away on Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre following a lengthy illness. She was 65 years of age. Interment will take place at the Tisdale Cemetery at a later date. Linda Gail Richards was born on May 29, 1950 at Langley, BC; a daughter of Frank & Muriel Humphreys. Soon after her birth the family moved back to Saskatchewan to Tisdale. Here Linda was raised and received her education. As a young woman she took a business administration course in Regina, but returned to Tisdale to work upon completing the course. On July 10, 1971 she was united in marriage to Dan Richards at Tisdale. The couple then moved to Regina and Linda began working at Agri-Sports for 4 - 5 years. Eventually Dan was transferred to Yorkton but the couple chose the nearby community of Springside to make their home. While living in Springside, Linda began working for the Good Spirit School Division, and was employed at the Springside School doing secretarial & librarian duties, which she enjoyed as she was an avid reader herself. As her health began to decline, Linda had been unable to work at the school since 2010. Linda passed away on Friday, June 26th 2015 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 65 years of age. Predeceased by her father Frank & mother Muriel; her brothers Jack & Delmer Humphreys; and her sister Carol Drezdoff. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Dan of Springside; son Cory (Lisa) of Kinistino, SK; daughter Candice (Brian) Denison of Elk Grove, California; grandchildren Jayde, Kassia, Logan, Taylor, Trey & Jordan; a brother Don (Anne) Humphreys; sisters: Lois (Don) Donaldson; Orlah Schell; Norma (Norman) Tyacke, and Betty (Gary) Stoker, and their families.
