Obituary of Mickey Marie Lepowick

LEPOWICK - Lucille Marie 'Mickey' Lepowick was born on September 3, 1937 to Leon and May (nee Carriere) Bouvier, of the San Clara, Manitoba district. She was united in marriage to Bill Lepowick on September 9, 1953 and they moved to the Calder district. They were blessed with five children, Adeline, Gerald, Billy, Darcy and Joanne. She was a loving, caring, hard-working wife, mother, Baba and Great Baba. She always put others before herself, making sure everyone was looked after first. She loved being on the farm. She enjoyed spending time with the animals & being outdoors. She would rather be on the tractor than in the kitchen. She had a great sense of humour, always joking and laughing. Music was a huge part of her life, playing in their own band for dances and special occasions for many years. Mickey passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. She was 77 years of age. Predeceased by an infant son, Maurice (1974); husband Bill (1997); son Gerald (2007); daughter Adeline Huziak (2014); brother Hector (2006); and by brother Maurice (2012). She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her children: son Billy (Bobbie) of Grande Prairie AB; son Darcy (Terri-Ann) of Yorkton; daughter Joanne of Yorkton; son-in-law John Huziak of Winnipeg; sisters: Anita Dixon of San Clara MB; Freda Davey of Roblin MB; Priscille Kowalishen of Calgary; brothers: Lionel (Beatrice) Bouvier of Roblin; Alva Bouvier of Roblin; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and her many other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held on Saturday, May 16, 2015 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey B.Th, officiating. Daughter Joanne gave the eulogy on behalf of the family. Music was provided by Helen Lepine, Nichalas Bloodoff and Hayley Lepowick. The interment took place in the Garden of St. Matthew with Sheldon Huziak, Nichalas & Christopher Bloodoff, and Dylan, Darcy, Billy & Dominic Lepowick serving as the casketbearers. Memorials in Mickey's name may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
