Obituary of Matt Daniel Litwin

Matt Daniel Litwin was born on July 15, 1931 in the Beckenham area. At the young age of 8 years he moved with his family to a farm near Parkerview. Matt attended Chiselhurst School. Since his father was a blacksmith in Parkerview, Matt worked with his mom clearing 8 acres of bush in one summer by hand. In January 1953 Matt met the love of his life, Olga Kozakewich and they were married in November. In 1954 rust had ruined his crop which forced Matt to go to work in a mine at McKenzie Island, Ontario. Matt and Olga were blessed with five children, Janet, Theresa, Lucy, Murray and Jeannie. Matt continued to live on the farm until 1998 when the two of them moved to Yorkton but still made weekly trips to the farm. Matt was a very hard working man who enjoyed farming very much. Matt passed away on May 6, 2015 at the Regina General Hospital at the age of 83 years. He will be missed by many. Xpuctoc Bockpec! Christ Is Risen!
