Obituary of Wayne Irvin Weber

WEBER - Wayne Irvin Weber, beloved husband of Marlene and proud father of Jason and Susan passed away very peacefully on April 24, 2015 at the Yorkton Hospital. He was 70 years and 3 months. Wayne was born January 24, 1945 in Yorkton and lived here all his life. His education started at Burke School and graduated with honors and a scholarship from Yorkton Collegiate Institute. Wayne attended University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon for half a year and ventured out to find work. He spent some time in Yukon before returning home to begin working for Weber Construction at the K-2 mine in Esterhazy. After that project was completed he started working for his uncle Charles Weber at Weber Construction in Yorkton in 1967 and continued employment with the company until August, 2013. His job was his life; loved going to work and was a very dedicated employee. Wayne didn't have hobbies but enjoyed social curling many years ago. He loved watching football, the Riders, hockey and even golf and curling. He was very proud to take his son Jason to his hockey games and experienced hunting with Jason. Wayne and Marlene enjoyed going out to their cabins at Sunnyside and York Lake where as a family had the best times of their life. Family trips to B.C. to visit family and friends were the happiest memories. Wayne was not a "social butterfly" but loved his family and friends dearly. He was a very proud and kind man who loved and provided for his family to his upmost. His children and grandchildren were the love of his life. Wayne was predeceased by his first born daughter Pamela Marie and twin daughters Carrie Marie and Corrine May at infancy; his parents John and Nettie Weber; his sister Shirley Reiten; his father-in-law Michael Bihun and many Weber and Derbowka aunts and uncles. Wayne is survived by his loving wife Marlene of 49 years; their children Jason (Lisa) Weber of Yorkton and Susan (Jay) Morrison of Spruce Grove, AB; grandson Jordan Weber and granddaughters Ella and Ava Morrison; his sister Jill Elaine (John) Shanks of Saskatoon; his brother Randy (Bev) Weber of Comox, B.C.; his aunt Molly (weber) and Scottie Propp of Yorkton; his special mother-in-law "Baba" Marie Bihun of Yorkton; sisters-in-law Diane (Edwardo) Vicente of High River, AB, Louise (Michael) Kupybida of Portage La Prairie, MB, Joan Cleland (Ed Landago) of Yorkton; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. Wayne will be sadly missed and never forgotten by all who knew him. A Memorial Service was held on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey, Certified Celebrant officiating. A eulogy was presented by Lori Garchinski. Jay Morrison paid tribute in a song, "Hurt" by Johnny Cash. The inurnment followed in the Garden of Memories Columbarium at Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Jordan Weber as the urn bearer.
