Obituary of Evelyn Bulych

BULYCH - Mrs. Evelyn Bulych of Ituna, wife of the Late Bill Bulych passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 22, 2015. She was 83 years of age. Evelyn was born on September 11, 1931 to Thomas and Clara Gray of Ituna. She was from a family of 12 children. On October 17, 1948 she married Bill Bulych of Jasmin, Sask. They lived in the Jasmin district until 1967 when they moved into Ituna. Evelyn worked hard raising a family of five children. Throughout her lifetime, she belonged to the CWL and also had volunteered her time working at the hall for many functions. She spent many years painting and house cleaning for people. Her favorite pastimes included dancing and playing bingo. Unfortunately, Alzheimer's disease took her livelihood away and she had spent two years at a personal care home before becoming a resident of the Ituna Pioneer Health Care Centre, where she had resided for the past seven years. Predeceased by her husband Bill (1991), son Brian (1993) and daughter Dorothy (2014). She leaves to treasure her memory her three sons: Ken (Lydia) of Ituna and grandchildren Cindy Bulych (Jeff) of Regina, Jolene Kaytor (Cameron) of Warman, Ryan Bulych (Leslie) of Ituna and Cherie Jankoski (Josh) of Regina; Barry (Ruby) of Ituna; Darryl (Tracy) of White City and grandchildren, Austin & Avery; son-in-law Bill Kiriazopolus of Regina and grandchildren Nick Kiriazopolus (Debbie), Tina Lowenberger (Colin), and Darcy Kiriazopolus (Bonnie) all of Regina; grandchildren Colby Bulych (Becky) and Jillian Bulych of Prince Albert. Also 17 great grandchildren and one sister, Mabel McChesney in Ontario. The Requiem Divine Liturgy was celebrated on Monday, April 27, 2015 at Sacred Heart Ukrainian Catholic Church in Ituna with Very Rev. Fr. Boris Kyba C.S.s.R. as the Celebrant. Honourary Bearers were all the grandchildren. The cross bearer was Ryan Bulych and Jane Chorney, representing the UCWLC carried the branch prapore. The interment followed in the Sacred Heart Parish Cemetery with Barry Bulych serving as the urnbearer. Memorials honouring Evelyn's life may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
