Obituary of Vanessa "Bun" Sangwais

SANGWAIS - It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Vanessa (Bun) Dale Sangwais. Born November 17, 1970 in Regina, SK. Bun died peacefully on March 31st, 2015 at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre after courageously fighting cancer for years, at the young age of 44. Predeceased by her maternal grandparents, Mary-louise Acoose and Andrew Lavallee; paternal grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. Y.B. Sangwais; uncle James (Gabe) Lavallee; aunt Betty-mae Ponace; sisters Fran Lavallee & Coreen George; brothers Clayton (Bullett) George, Clayton (babyshim) George; and son London Xavier. She is survived by parents Bernadette Lavallee and George Sangwais; aunt Mildred (Bill); sister Laryssa (Ree); brothers: Conrad (Rhonda), Michael (Janet), Andrew (Christine), Colin (Vanessa), Curtis (Tracy), Rick (Allison), Carl, Clarence, and her loving husband and partner in life, Paul Tocchio. Bun also leaves to mourn her special babies: Dakota (Tyrone), Natyiri, Serenity, Renee, and Sincere; her nieces and nephews: Sharlene, Jared, Alicia (James), Michelle, Lee (Annie), Alana, Lacey (Rising Sun), Jamee (Dustin) and Luke. Also her special friends Judy, Wendy and Roxanne, Sheila, Ross, Sonny and Darryl, by the on-line gaming community, and by the nieces, nephews and cousins too many to name. Bun was always quick to lend an ear, a hug or even a smile, her outgoing personality and qwarky sense of humor will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She was truly one of a kind, and memories of her will be forever cherished. The funeral service was held on Saturday, April 4, 2015 at the Sakimay Community Complex. Sakimay First Nation with Pastor Darlene and Hector Bunnie and Elder, Alvin Kaye as the officiants. Serving as casket bearers were Paul Tocchio, Conrad Sangwais, Michael Sangwais, Andrew Sangwais, Collin Sangwais, Curtis Sangwais and Rick Sangwais.
