Obituary of Harold Py

PY - Mr. Harold Py of Yorkton passed away peacefully at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on March 12, 2015 at the age of 87 years. Harold was born on May 20, 1927 in Yorkton, SK; the only child born to Ferdinand and Edith (nee Schattenkirk) Py. Harold attended Burke School in Yorkton. After completing his formal education, Harold worked at various jobs. These included roofing and brick laying. He then acquired a working trade at Dairy Producers in Yorkton, a position he held for over 25 years. He was devoted to his work and his fellow workers. In 1992 Harold took his retirement. Harold was a kind and gentle friend to all. He enjoyed going for coffee and reminiscing old times. He loved listening to country music. Many times he would have the volume turned up so that you could hear it throughout the whole house. He will be remembering for his jokes and laughter. Harold looked after his parents in their older years. An illness forced him to stay home. He was predeceased by his beloved parents, Ferdinand and Edith. Harold will remain in our hearts where he will truly remain alive. Our Lord and Saviour has taken him home where he will enjoy eternal life. The Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home in Yorkton with Rev. Jen Dresser officiating. The musical selections, "O God, Our Help in Ages Past" and "My Faith Looks Up to Thee" were included in the service. The interment followed in the family plot at Yorkton City Cemetery with Vern Aichele serving as the urn bearer. Memorials in memory of Harold may be made to the Diabetes Association or the Burn Unit at Regina General Hospital. Service Information
