A memorial folder from the funeral service can be printed under the "Memories" tab, then choose "Memorial Program". Vivian Rose Leroux was born in Manitoba, at a young age she moved with her adopted parents, Don and Anne Leroux, to the United States, where she spent most of her formative years. As a young woman, she returned to Manitoba, settling in Winnipeg. She was blessed with two children, Mitchell and Cassandra. In later years Rose met Norman Skelton, and eventually the couple moved to Saskatchewan, settling first in Bredenbury, and then later moving to Yorkton, where she has since resided. Rose had been experiencing health issues for some time, and lately had been requiring more constant care, and at the time of her passing, had been receiving palliative care at Jowsey House, a wing of the Yorkton and District Nursing Home. Rose passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 12th, 2015. She was 48 years, 11 months and 22 days of age. Rose will be remembered for her kind and gentle spirit, a person who possessed a big heart and had a unique sense of humour. She would help anybody out and ask for nothing in return. Her hobby was collecting lady bugs, and Rose had a collection second to none. Predeceased by her mother Pearl, and by sisters Sheila & Izzy. Rose is survived by her husband Norman Skelton; son Mitchell and daughter Cassandra; step-children: Chris Skelton, Colin Vanderstein and Amanda, Cheryl Carlston and Kelly, and their families. Also a sister Roanna, brothers Fabian & John, numerous nieces and nephews, Tom Mcardle and the rest of the Leroux family, and a very close friend, Zoran. A gathering for family & friends was held on Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. The interment will take place in Winnipeg this summer.
