MADUCK - It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mrs. Annie Maduck on February 21, 2015, at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre following a short illness. She was 90 years of age and lived a life with so many happy memories. Annie was born on December 14, 1924 in the Beaverdale Community of SK, where she also attended school. On October 14, 1947, Annie married Walter Maduck in St. Mary's Church in Yorkton. The couple settled in the Homefield district and began their new lives farming. In 1951, they moved to Kelliher to expand the farming operation and raise their two sons, Kenneth & Lawrence. In 1972, Annie & Walter left the farm & moved to Yorkton where Annie kept herself busy with numerous jobs while Walter was a busy carpenter. She enjoyed gardening, sewing & baking. She retired from the kitchen area of the Regional HighSchool in 1990. Annie was a kind, generous and hardworking woman who was devoted to her husband, & her large and growing family. She enjoyed visits from family and friends & would always welcome them into her home. Annie & Walter celebrated many years of marriage, and had a large gathering for their 50th anniversary in Oct. 1997. In addition to the great joys of family & friends, Annie found great pleasure in the simple things in life such as playing cards, baking, fishing, gardening, dancing, canning, knitting, and occasionally going to play bingo.
