Obituary of Edward Alexander Burback

Edward Burback was born on May 16, 1937 on the family farm in the Togo/Runnymede district; the third oldest of seven children born to Alexander and Mary (nee Haberman) Burback. He was baptized and confirmed in Runnymede, and attended the Mylor School. After finishing school, he took a welding course and continued farming with his family. On February 11, 1961 he married Ruth Deederly from the Togo area. They lived on the family farm with Ed's parents and worked with them until Ed's parents moved outside of Kamsack in 1967. Ed and Ruth remained on the family farm and raised four children. They ran a mixed farm operation. Ed spent countless hours running his D6 cat, pushing bush for fence lines. He especially enjoyed hunting as well. He was a board member for the Togo Credit Union for many years. His grandchildren were a very important part of his life. He was very proud of each and every one of them. Ed remained living on the farm, working with his son Dwayne and grandsons Devon and Dustin. He even ran the combine this past fall. Ed passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Kamsack Hospital following a time of failing health. He was 77 years of age. Ed was predeceased by his parents, Alexander (1973); Mary (1986); a brother Melvin (1981); brothers-in-law, Andy Pomedli and Willard Zorn.
