Obituary of Elsie Iris Lange

LANGE - Elsie Iris Lange was born on December 29, 1934 in the Mohyla district, north-east of Canora, SK; a daughter of Steve and Katie (nee Babiuk) Bilous. She was raised on the family farm and received her education at Elbow Lake School. On October 29, 1955 she was united in marriage to Robert Lange at Yorkton. The couple began farming in the Orcadia district. In August of 1981 Bob passed away at age 48. Following this time Elsie remained on the farm for a number of years before moving into Yorkton to make her home. Elsie worked for many years at Park Allan Drugs and also for Zellers. Following her retirement Elsie remained in Yorkton, but as the years progressed her health began to fail. She then became a resident of the Bentley Retirement Community, then for a time she resided at the Gladstone Senior's Residence, and her last home was the Canora Gateway Lodge. Elsie passed away on Sunday, February 1, 2015 at the Lodge. She was 80 years of age. Besides her husband Bob, she was predeceased by her parents, Steve and Katie; her sister and brother-in-law Ann and Archie Crosbie; she is survived by her two daughters, Valerie & Lorie; grandchildren Dallas, Robin, Kelly & Jordan. Three sisters and two brothers: Jennie Greenstein, Mary Yaremko, Helen (Merv) Schwartz, Harold (Eleanor) Bilous, and Ray Bilous; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and her many other relatives and friends. The cremation care was entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home. Condolences can be left at baileysfuneralhome.com. There will be a graveside memorial service for Elsie at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens in the spring.
