BYBLOW - Paul Byblow beloved husband of Helen Byblow of Springside, peacefully passed away at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre on January 19, 2015. Paul was born November 24, 1922 to John and Catherine (nee Fedun) Byblow. As a young boy he attended Whitesand School & later St. Mary's Minor Seminary, of which he had many a fond memory that he related to the family after revisiting it 70 years later. As a young man he worked at various jobs out of province only to return to his prairie roots and farming in Saskatchewan. Dad married the love of his life, Helen Pawliw, October 29, 1949. They bought the family farm that Dad was born and raised on and they began their married life and raised four children. Dad never refused to help a friend, neighbors or strangers in need. His kindness, generosity, humor and quick wit are traits that we as his children can only hope be passed on to us. Dad was president of the Patronage of the Blessed Virgin Mary Ukrainian Catholic Church - the Whitesand Parish for 20 years and it was a job he took to heart and did his best to see the church and cemetery were well taken care of. Dad loved to fish, in his own words he always said, "That's where I do my best thinking and am able to thank God for all the wonderful blessings he has given me in this wonderful life". He leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his loving wife of 65 years, Helen; his four children, Gloria Byblow, Yvonne (Tom) Cole, Stephen (Jacqui) Byblow and Carla (Steve) Chabaylo; six grandchildren, Kerri Gilders (Jeff Carratt), Kelly (Ryan) Miller, Brenna (Lee) Janett, Devon Byblow (Karlyn Neal), Nicole (Chance) Helmsing and Kristen (Ben) Reves; eight great grandchildren, Callen and Harlow Carratt, Madison, Aryanna & Rilynn Miller, Nicolas Janett, Jamicah and Sarah Reves; brothers and sisters, Peter (Gladys), Olga Achtemichuk, Sonya Pawliw, Andy (Sylvia), Zenon (Eileen), Jeanne (Ed) Spilak; brother-in-law, Ed Switzer; and sister-in-law, Fran Byblow; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
