Gina was born on June 23rd, 1948 in Yorkton to James Rubletz and Elizabeth "Betty "(Gordon) . In Dec 1952 at the age of four Gina started to travel .Her first trip was one of her biggest .Gina along with her mother and brother Gordon sailed on the "CUNARD LINE" from Halifax to Liverpool. They returned back to Canada in July 1953 While she was there she got to attend the ceremony where the queen Elizabeth became the queen (terminoligy). She attended Simpson school and Yorkton Colligate. Throughout her school years she was very involved in the Yorkton Figure Skating Club and won several medals during this these years . Upon completion of the program she became a certified instructor and taught in Yorkton and Foam Lake. Gina was also a judge for some of the figure skating local competitions. She was an active member CGIT (CANADIAN GIRLS IN TRAINING), Throughout her life she has various positions in the workforce Car Hop @ A&W. She was a waitress at the Temple Hotel in Grayson which was at that time it was a family owned business. She worked at the Yorkton Enterprise, Gifts of Gold / PK Bingo /Humpty's Family Restaurant. She was the beloved mother of Jim and Ward. In the boys younger years she spent a lot of time at either at the scout hall helping out with BEAVERS or at the hockey rink voicing her opinion to us as to how she thought we should play or if we should skate harder !! Some of the most meaningful time for Gina was when they were out at "the lake." No matter what season it was she could be found either at the beach, out on the lake fishing, swinging a club at the golf course, out at the snowmobile shack or simply socializing at a friend's cabin over a deck of cards and some cold beer(s).
