Obituary of Mary Marianchuk

MARIANCHUK - Mary Marianchuk passed away suddenly on October 24, 2014 at her home in Edmonton, Alberta. She was 79 years of age. Mary was born on November 9, 1934 in the Insinger, Saskatchewan district. She was one of eight children to Andrew and Dora (nee Malek) Gara. She grew up on the family farm in the Insinger area and attended school there as well. In the early 1950's the family relocated from the farm to Edmonton, Alberta. During this time period Mary met Edward Marianchuk of Theodore, Saskatchewan and in 1954 they married. They eventually settled in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and became the parents of two boys, Doug in 1961 and Glen in 1964. Mary was a devoted mother of her two boys. She was predeceased by her husband Ed, her father Andrew, her brother Bill, her sisters Cec and Kay and recently her mother Dora. After the passing of her husband, Mary moved to Edmonton where she worked in the Misercordia Hospital until her retirement. She also spent the last 27 years taking care of her mother until her passing in August. Mary is survived by her son Doug and wife Ardie (son Kyten), her son Glen and wife Vonnie (daughter Kiahna) and her sisters Vi, Irene, Janet and Linda. A graveside service will be held on Monday July 13, 2015 at 10:00a.m. at the family plot at Yorkton Memorial Gardens, Garden of Crucifixion.
