Obituary of Alex James Chutskoff

CHUTSKOFF - Alex James Chutskoff beloved son of Dale and Cheryl Chutskoff of Yorkton. It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Alex on October 21, 2014 in Yorkton, Sask., at the age of 16. Alex was born in Vancouver, BC on November 17, 1997. He lived in Burnaby, BC until the age of 3. At that time he moved to Saskatoon, Sask. with his father Dale & sister Cheyenne. In 2002 his family increased by one when Cheryl became his mom. In 2003 Alex had another addition to the family his brother Adrian. Alex attended various schools in Saskatoon until grade nine, when his family moved to Yorkton. He started his grade 9 year at Melville Comprehensive School. Alex started his 1st job this past summer working construction which he really enjoyed. His passions include fishing/trapping with his Dad, long walks with his Mom, endless bike rides with Cheyenne and Adrian to 7-11, video games and endless hours of the Discovery channel. He also enjoyed archery and curling as school extra-curricular activities. Alex is survived and will be greatly missed by his beloved parents, Dale & Cheryl Chutskoff, sister Cheyenne and brother Adrian. His grandparents Jack & Sylvia Turner, Alex Chutskoff and foster grandparents Grace Dittrick and Marianne & Dwayne Grieman. Alex has also left to grieve many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends, and of course his two beloved dogs, Avalanche and Tip. Alex was predeceased by his paternal great grandmother, Rosalie Quewezance; great grandfather, Joe Pauche; grandmother, Nora Woloschuk; grandfather, Steve Woloschuk; and foster grandfather, Walter Dittrick; maternal great grandparents, Sophie and Fred Turner and Martha and Charlie Perry. A visitation for family and friends was held on Friday evening from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, October 25, 2014 from the Yorkton Memorial Gardens Family Centre with Crystal Bailey B.Th, Certified Celebrant officiating. Tributes and words of remembrance from the family were shared by Alex's cousins, Tessa and Lauren. A special musical selection was ‘Tears In Heaven' by Eric Clapton. Casketbearers were Neil Tanner, Basil Edwards, Todd Cherry and Grayden Turner. Cremation followed with a family interment at a later date at Nokomis, Saskatchewan. Memorials in memory of Alex may be made to the Melville Comprehensive School (MCS) Mental Health Awareness and Anti-bullying Education or to the Canadian Mental Health Association as gifts of remembrance.
