KOTYLAk - Kenneth Lorne Kotylak was born on December 25, 1964 at Lestock, Saskatchewan; the youngest child of Jerry & Lucy (nee Chorney) Kotylak. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Kelliher School. In 1990 he was united in marriage to Kathleen Fushtey. The couple moved to Regina and then to Alberta for a brief period before returning to the farm. They were blessed with a son Kyle in 1992, followed by Devin in 1997, and Tyler in 2002. Devin unfortunately passed away at 2 ½ years of age. Even though Kathleen & Ken separated in 2006, Kenny maintained a strong bond to his boys and the farm was always their home. In 2006 he was hired by the Dept. of Highways, which became his second home and a job he truly loved, and made life-lasting friendships with many of his co-workers. All through this employment, he continued to farm, which was his heart and soul. Ken also enjoyed fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, quadding and playing three spot. Ken passed away suddenly on Monday, October 20th, 2014 shortly after beginning his work day at the Highways shop in Leross. He was 49 years of age.
