YUZYK - Mr. Frank Yuzyk of Calgary, Alberta, formerly of Yorkton and the Kamsack district passed away on September 26, 2014 at his home. He was 62 years of age. Frank Edward Yuzyk, the eldest son of the late Albin and Mary Yuzyk of Kamsack was born May 14th, 1952 and was raised on the family farm in the Verigin area. He completed grades 1-12 in Kamsack. After graduating from high school in 1970 Frank got a job in Kamsack at the local hardware store. A few years passed by and Frank moved to Yorkton where he worked at Morris and made some very good friends whom he stayed in touch with over the years. It was then that he met Brenda Holowatuk who he later married. Frank decided he wanted to try a career in banking and a position came up in Stony Plain, AB. which started his career with the Credit Union. From there Frank took a branch manager position in Onoway, AB. where they resided for a number of years. This is where his daughter Krista was born. As the years went on Frank found himself with various management positions within Credit Unions until he settled in Calgary, Alberta where he took a position in insurance at the Cooperators. Frank lived in Calgary until his sudden passing. Frank enjoyed camping, fishing and wasn't too bad at golf. He always had his camera with him and photography was one of his passions. He also had a love for vehicles and spent many hours working on cars. He was an active member of the hot rod club in Calgary. Frank's house in Tisdale, SK was always brightly lit up at Christmas and the snow forts he built for Krista were truly amazing. Frank will always be remembered as a kind and caring person. He enjoyed socializing with his friends over cold beverages and card games. Franks latest greatest passion was for his granddaughters. This was evident in the countless conversations they shared over the phone and the joy in his eyes when he got to see them this past summer. Frank was predeceased by his parents Albin and Mary Yuzyk. He is survived by his daughter Krista and fiancé Jon Malcolm along with three beautiful granddaughters Bailey, Laila and Sofia.
