KREISER - Elsie Katherine Kreiser of Melville, Saskatchewan and formerly of Killaly, Saskatchewan, entered her eternal rest on Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at St. Peters Hospital in Melville with family at her side. She was 84 years of age. Elsie was born August 21, 1930 in the depression years on the family farm west of Grayson, Saskatchewan. Elsie received her education at Flegal School one-mile south of the family farm in a one-room classroom with about thirty children from grades 1 to 9. After her schooling she remained on the farm to help her parents with house hold chores also with odd chores around the farm and to look after her younger brothers and sisters. In 1952 Elsie left home and went to Sacred Heart Academy in Regina, then to St. Gabriella's Convent in Lebret and then Sacred Heart Seminary where young French speaking men studied for the Priesthood. After her dad died in 1977 she remained home to help her mother. Her mother died in 1985 and Elsie continued to reside in Killaly until July 2009 then moved into Melville. Elsie was very involved with St. Elizabeth's Church in Killaly and worked with the Ladies committee at the parish hall at different functions.
