CAMPBELL - Mr. Dave Campbell of Yorkton, formerly of Disley, Regina, Prince Albert, Swift Current, and Kindersley, beloved husband of Annette Campbell passed away after a sudden illness on Wednesday, July 23, 2014 at the Yorkton Regional health Centre. He was seventy years of age. David James Campbell was born on August 3, 1943 to Cecil and Susan Campbell. As a child he lived in the village of Disley, Saskatchewan with his family. He played ball, worked at the store and left home at 16 to finish high school in Regina. After completing high school, Dave began his forty-one year career with SGI. He started his career in the mailroom in Regina and later moved to Prince Albert for a promotion. He continued to advance his career, by becoming an adjuster in Swift Current, then a senior adjuster in Yorkton and later a branch manager in Kindersley and then returning to Yorkton as the branch manager until he retired in 2002. While in Swift Current, Dave met Annette and they married on May 17, 1969. Dave and Annette were married for 45 years and they were blessed with three children: Tricia, Craig and Angela. He was also blessed with three grandchildren, Brendon, Morgan and Aidan. Papa loved spending time with his grandchildren, playing the piano with them, teaching them to use his "saws", watching them play hockey and baseball and watching his little princess at dance recitals. Just the mention of Brendon, Morgan and Aidan would bring a smile and twinkle in his eye. Dave had many interests that included music, baseball, curling, golf, woodworking and travelling with family and friends. Dave loved music, whether listening to it or playing the piano. Diamond Dave loved baseball. Whether he was playing, coaching, managing or watching, Dave was in seventh heaven. Many of his family trips included trips to baseball diamonds. In his retirement, Dave and Annette loved to travel south for winters to Yuma. While there he was able to golf, go to spring training and spent several hours every day woodworking. Their time in Yuma gave him the chance to make memories with long-time friends and meet many new friends. Dave leaves to mourn his wife Annette, his children: Tricia (Carman), Craig (Alana) and grandson Aidan, Angela (Darron) and grandson Brendon and granddaughter Morgan. His brothers: Cliff (Pat), Ron and his sister Debbie (Marv). He also leaves behind many brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and many many friends including his coffee crew.
