He took great pride in a job well done, which he demonstrated by designing and building the family cabin at Good Spirit Lake from ground up. His final project was building three sleighs by hand for himself and his children, one of which is on display outside of the Family Centre at Yorkton Memorial Gardens. He was an avid coin and stamp collector and loved to travel when he could. He also enjoyed a game of Bingo. He had a great love for animals and musical instruments and played many tunes by ear on his violin, accordion, cymbaly and banjo. Bill was a man of many talents.
