A memorial folder from the funeral service may be printed under the "Memories" tab, then choose "Memorial Program" .BEAR - Kreestyn Xander Bear, aka "Baby Bear" was suddenly taken on July 6, 2014 in a bike trailer collision in Saskatoon at the young age of 3. He is survived by his parents, Shyann Jerome and OJ Bear, his brothers; Keanan and Dante, his sisters; Shante, Jadee and Jodie, grandparents; Orval (Cathy) Bear, Shannon Shier, Sandra Taypotat, great-grandparents; Wally (Sharon) Shier, great-great-grandma Helen Shier, as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He is predeceased by his grandpa Amabe "Joe" Jerome, Kokum Marj Taypotat, Uncles Matt McKay and Chris Taypotat and Aunty Sam Thompson, as well as other family members. Kreestyn was born November 14, 2010 at 2:07 p.m. at the Yorkton Regional Health Centre. His parents were overjoyed with his safe arrival. His big brown eyes, long eyelashes and chubby bear cheeks, warmed the hearts of many at a glance. Always so full of energy and big smiles. He loved to watch hockey at such a young age, and quickly became a fan of the Winnipeg Jets because that's "Uncle Tubby's" team. He always wanted to watch hockey whether it was live or on TV. He was so excited to start hockey this fall with his new skates he bought from Christmas money he got from his great-grandparents. Another one of his passions was horses. He loved them. It didn't matter how big or small, he would ride it. He loved everything about being a cowboy. He didn't get to be with his Grandpa Joe very long but he sure did remember him very well. He was such a cheeky little guy. He always had a smart little remark to say. His brother Keanan thought it would be a good idea to teach him how to swear, and then his aunty Chelsey also taught him bad words, not in English of course, only to backfire on her later. LOL. Kreestyn became very close with his Dad when his Mom went back to work. Even though they became close he was his Mommy's big suck. He loved having his tootoo's. When he turned three he was told he was "too big" for them. So during the day he was three, but at night he was two. LOL Such a smart little boy. He also enjoyed watching "Chicago Fire" with his Mom for his love of fire trucks. Spiderman, Thomas the Train and Barney were a few of his other interests. Looking like his Dad and acting like his Mom is a deadly combination that will be greatly missed by all. A Wake was held on Friday, July 11, 2014 from the Yorkton Friendship Centre. Pastor Rick Flamont of Grace River Mission led an evening service. A tribute and words of remembrance was given by Shyann and OJ. Funeral Services were held on Saturday, July 12, 2014 from St. Claire Roman Catholic Church in San Clara, Manitoba with Rev. Fr. James Ahaneku officiating. Honourary Bearers were everyone that were a part of Kreestyn's life. Interment followed in the parish cemetery in San Clara, Manitoba with Wesley Jerome, Kirby Bear, Tyler Stephanow and Caine Bear serving as the casketbearers. Memorials in memory of Kreestyn may be made to Kidsport as gifts of remembrance. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.baileysfuneralhome.com .
