JAQUES - Jessie Evelyn Jaques (nee Kennaugh) beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away peacefully at the Theodore Health Centre on June 20, 2014 at the age of 98 years. Jessie was born on June 4, 1916 on the family farm in the Stornoway district of Saskatchewan. The family moved to Yorkton in 1921 where she lived for the rest of her life. Jessie was predeceased by her husband Ernest, her daughter Patricia (Walker), her parents Robert and Clara Kennaugh, three brothers Robbie, Stan and Fred and her sister Violet (MacDonnell). She is survived by her three sons, Donald (Linda), Terry (Diane) both of Calgary, Alberta, Doug (Paulette) of Yorkton, son-in-law Jerry Walker of Canyon Lake, Texas, eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by all as a loving mother who could put on a great meal for her family, relatives or friends. In her earlier years she was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion Ladies Auxillary. A Memorial Service for Jessie was held on June 25th at the Chapel of Bailey's Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Buchan officiating. Interment was in the family plot at Yorkton City Cemetery. Memorials honouring Jessie's life may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
