Obituary of Lorraine Litzenberger

Lorraine Katherine Litzenberger was born in Saskatoon, SK on October 26, 1948 to Clara and Joseph Schaffel. She grew up on the family farm near Allan, Saskatchewan with her sister Carol and brother Arthur. In 1969 she married Richard Allan Litzenberger and they had two sons, Kirby Dean (1973) and Kelly Richard (1976). The family lived on a farm west of Melville where Lorraine was a stay-at-home mom until the family moved to Yorkton in 1987. They purchased Indy's Marine Service where Lorraine worked alongside her husband. After it's closing Lorraine worked in fashion retail. She enjoyed travelling with Richard, playing cards with friends and watching curling and the Riders. Lorraine passed away at home on the morning of Friday, May 23, 2014. She is survived by her two sons, Kirby and Kelly as well as her sister Carol Arlitt (John Skaar) of Surrey, BC and brother Arthur Schaffel of Allan, SK. On July 5, 2012, Lorraine was able to enjoy the birth of her first grandson, Benjamin Andrew. Her husband Richard predeceased Lorraine in September, 2012, after 43 years of marriage. She'll be deeply missed by everyone she knew. We love you, mom.
