Obituary of Pauline Sarafincian
SARAFINCIAN - Pauline Sarafincian, resident of the Yorkton & District Nursing Home, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2014. She was 84 years of age. Pauline was born on November 25, 1929 in the Wroxton district of Saskatchewan; a daughter of John and Mary (nee Prestyko) Minchuk. Pauline and her 7 siblings were raised on the family farm and she received her schooling in the district. She was united in marriage to Nick Sarafincian and the couple had one daughter, Adeline. Pauline enjoyed cooking and she shared her love of music and dancing as well as gardening with her siblings and parents. Pauline eventually moved into Yorkton to make her home with her mother and lived independently until becoming a resident of the Yorkton & District Nursing Home in 2012. Predeceased by her parents, John and Mary, brothers Mike, Steve and Willie and sisters Anne Laboissier, Jean Rohatensky and Kay Androsik, and her daughter, Adeline. She is survived by her sister Elise (Mrs. Ted Nalepka of Ann Arbor, MI), her sister-in-law Mary Minchuk as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to join the family on Saturday June 28th at 11:00 am at the graveside in the Garden of St. John at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens. Pastor Steve Rosluk to officiate. The cremation and funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bailey's Funeral Home. Service Information
