According to the records, Don Pinder has been a member of the Civil Air Search and Rescue Association (CASARA) in the zone 6 region in Saskatchewan, since 1995. Zone 6 covers about 66,000 square kilometers. CASARA is a volunteer organization. Its members are dedicated to aviation safety. We aid the RCMP in searching for missing individuals and the Canadian Armed Forces for missing aircrafts. This year would have been Don's 19th year. He has served under three zone commanders, Ray Sass, Danny Yuen and Steve Piontek. He served as a pilot in CASARA. As in any organization, members come and go. It is rare to have members for 19 years. He served unselfishly to his community. He attended meetings, and training exercises consistently and regularly. Don Pinder will be dearly missed by his community. On behalf of CASARA, we will miss a highly dedicated member.
