Paul Bashutski was born on the family homestead in the Krasna district of Saskatchewan on August 1, 1921. The fifth child of Nick and Nettie (nee Gluska) Bashutski. The family moved to the Kelliher district in 1927, and later to the farm, we call home, in 1941. Paul went to school at Berresford until grade eight when he began his farming career. Later in 1974 Dennis joined Paul and they expanded the operation. In 1977 /1978, Paul built a new house in Kelliher where he and Rose semi-retired, where they took great pride in their home, their yard, garden and community. They loved to host any and all company, always sharing a joke, a meal, and a story. Paul always enjoyed a game of cards especially bridge and three spot. An avid sports fan, Paul curled locally. He was one of the most loyal fans to Kelliher Minor Hockey, and Football, where he watched his grandsons play. The Church, the Choir, and the Seniors Club, were priorities, and he spent many enjoyable hours there.
