AICHELE - Harvey Aichele, beloved husband of Marie of the Yorkton district passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. He was 67 years of age. Harvey Wayne Aichele was born on September 28, 1946 at Yorkton; the fourth of five children born to Pauline (nee Prosko) and Jacob Aichele. He was raised on the family farm and received his education at Jaroslaw School. As a young man Harvey remained on the farm. On June 28th 1969 he was united in marriage to Marie Edith Horvath at St. Andrew's United Church. This union was blessed with four children, Sheri (1971), Duane (1973), Brenda (1974) and Wendy (1977). Following their marriage the couple eventually acquired their own land near Otthon in 1981, where they built a new home. In the mid 1990's Harvey & Marie sold their farm and moved to the Canora district for a couple of years. In 1998 they returned to the Otthon district and built a brand new home, where they have since resided. In 2006 Harvey began working with Olympic Taxi out of Melville, a job he enjoyed for a couple of years. He fully retired from farming about three years ago following surgery. Harvey passed away on Thursday, January 23rd at the Pasqua Hospital in Regina. He was 67 years of age. Harvey was a true outdoorsman, he loved to hunt & fish. He was a true farmer at heart, but also enjoyed collecting antiques as a hobby. He had been a member of the Yorkton Gun Club for a number of years. Predeceased by his parents, Jacob & Pauline; his brother Gerald; brother-in-law Raymond Diduck; and by his father-in-law Joseph Horvath. He leaves to mourn his loving wife Marie; children & grandchildren: daughter Sheri (Greg) Klingspon of Yorkton (and Travis, Meagan & Brayden); son Duane Aichele (Cherrie) of the Okotoks AB district (and Summer & Rayna); daughter Brenda Aichele (Vaclav Hornak) of Calgary; daughter Wendy (Darren) Zastrizny of Theodore; sister Mavis (Rueben) Alberts of the Melville district; sister: Shirley Diduck of the Wroxton district; and a brother: Dennis (Wendy) Aichele of the Yorkton district; mother-in-law Helen Horvath of the Yorkton district, brother-in-law Robert (Janet) Horvath of Yorkton; numerous nieces, nephews, and his many other relatives and friends. The funeral service was held on Tuesday, January 28, 2014 from St. Andrew's United Church in Yorkton with Rev. Jen Dresser officiating. Harvey's goddaughter, Lori Yesnik gave a family tribute. Organist, Shani Apland led members of the Church Choir and the congregation in the singing of the hymns 'Peace in the Valley', 'Amazing Grace', and 'Beyond the Sunset'. Special music was 'Where the Roses Never Fade' and 'When I'm Gone'. The interment took place in the Garden of Crucifixion at the Yorkton Memorial Gardens with Greg Klingspon, Darren Zastrisny, Kevin Diduck, Dion Aichele, Keith Hauser and Allan Yesnik serving as the casketbearers.
